Antenna at the Geneva Health Forum
April 19 - 21 at CICG

The 6th Geneva Health Forum (GHF) will take place on April 19-21 at the International Conference Centre in Geneva (CICG), and will tackle the theme “Global Health: sustainable and affordable innovations in healthcare”. Created to establish links between health workers, scientists and policy makers, this biennial congress will bring together around 1'000 participants worldwide.

Free event for the general public

The general public can discover “Tomorrow’s Affordable Hospital” every day as of 5:30 pm.
The public is welcome to the Opening Ceremony, which will take place on April 19, 2016 at 6:00 pm at the CICG in the presence of Ms Micheline Calmy-Rey, former President of the Swiss Confederation, Ms Marie-Paule Kieny, WHO Assistant Director-General, Mr. Yves Daccord, ICRC Director-General, Mr. Mauro Poggia, State Councillor, Mr. Deltev Ganten, WHS Co-President, Pr. Denis Hochstrasser, UNIGE Vice-Rector and Mr. Bertrand Levrat, HUG General Manager.
On April 20, the public is welcome from 3:30 pm, and will be able to attend a conference followed by a roundtable on “Health and Innovation for Everyone”.

"Prevention of nosocomial infections in Burkina Faso thanks to devices used for the local production of sodium hypochlorite"

Antenna will set up an exhibition stand in “Tomorrow’s Affordable Hospital" to present his WATA technology, particularly in the context of its program set up in Burkina Faso since 2009 in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

In 2009, the Ministry of Health of Burkina Faso and Antenna Technologies launched a programme to install WATA electro-chlorinator devices, helping to enhance the accessibility and quality of healthcare services in 63 health districts and 13 hospitals. The program had two main objectives:

To ensure that healthcare centres have access to sufficient quantities of good quality and affordable sodium hypochlorite
To ensure the more widespread use of sodium hypchlorite for decontamination and disinfection purposes in healthcare facilities.

Anti-diabetic medicinal plant

Article in the local newspaper of Palau (Micronesia) about the conclusive results of our natural medicine program. Antenna with other partners has developed and funded this research to evaluate the anti-diabetic effect of a medicinal plant called "Ongael" or "a Delal Kar" (mother of medicine) .
