Greetings from JMS Artist Management! We are very excited to announce the newest addition to our roster of artists, acclaimed Czech pianist David Kalhous. In this newsletter, we've also included news on all of our artists' projects and an upcoming performance calendar
David Kalhous has gained recognition in Europe and the United States for his elegant musicianship, brilliant pianism, probing intelligence, and adventurous programming.

Kalhous tours regularly in the Czech Republic and more broadly in Europe. He has also been presented all over the United States, and was appointed Assistant Professor of Piano at Florida State University in 2011. His current recital projects (the New York Times has called his programming "engaging") feature the Czech Republic's leading modern composers, and an exploration of four centuries of piano miniatures and character pieces.
"Kalhous' [playing is] ... characterized by an inexhaustible array of colors, mature instrumental technique, and rich expressiveness."

The Boston Trio just finished a trip to California where they performed at Oakland's Four Seasons Arts and Stockton's Friends of Chamber Music (pictured). They performed an incredibly exciting program featuring Beethoven, John Musto, and Debussy, on their last tour with cellist Astrid Schween. Schween will join the Juilliard Quartet full time next season.
"...the evening's big moment was Debussy's "La Mer," as arranged by Sally Beamish... The excitement of hearing this "La Mer" was matched by watching the Boston play it."
Virginia Gazette, December 2015
The Boston Trio returns to the west coast in one month with cellist Jonah Ellsworth, who just received rave reviews from his performance with the Jacksonville Symphony. Find them in Oregon, New York, and Massachusetts in the next couple of months!
