A big thanks to Julie Brocca for "Summer Fun"
There are less than two weeks until the August meeting and submissions for the monthly challenges are nearly non-existent. Please consider submitting.
Our Core Concepts Challenge is Summer Vacation
Our Creative License Challenge is Breathe
Please have your submissions in by 6pm on August 20th. I've been hearing that the challenges are too hard. Ok, August's challenges will be easier.
For newer members, instructions on preparing and sending your entries is found here
The August Meeting
This month Bryan will be ready with a new Digi-Know. I have two short tutorial topics to cover this month. First we will look at how to emulate our camera's JPEG scene looks when editing a RAW file. Then we will look at the recently revised Selection toolset in Photoshop 2015.5 We will of course have our member’s challenge presentation and conversation. Time permitting we will have another time for general question and answer topics as that was popular.
I want to personally thank Isabel Kelly and Julie Brocca for the incredible work that they have done in creating outbound events that club members can attend. Getting these things planned and organized is a lot of work and all members will have the opportunity to participate. We are looking to get to one outbound event per month or so, so if you have ideas and are willing to help make them happen, please connect with Julie or Isabel at a meeting.
Annual Photo Contest
Our annual photo contest is open, but so far entries are nearly nil. The Print to Win category will be voted on by attendees at the September meeting, so if you will enter any of the categories, please start submitting soon and don't leave everything to the last minute.
