On April 9th we have our next workshop, Lightroom : The Develop Module.  We will go through all the options for development in Lightroom and then I will share a proven and fast workflow.   There are still seats available.  Click the link below to go to the registration page.  

Our monthly Show Your Stuff opportunities are "People on the Street" and "Opening"  We are all looking forward to some wonderful images for the April meeting.

Some members were requesting the information from the Memory Card tutorial from the March Meeting.  Based on some requests, this was delivered as a podcast on my personal channel.  You can listen to the complete podcast episode by going to

I will be delivering a seminar on April 8th from 1pm to about 4pm at Henry's Newmarket sponsored by Henry's and Canon called Perfect Prints.  Seating is limited to 15 attendees, and four attendees who have a fully edited image on a memory stick will receive a 13" x 19" print at no charge.  If you are interested in attending, email to secure your seat.

April 9, 2017 - 0830 to NOON - Newmarket Community Centre Hall #1
This hands-on Lightroom class is dedicated to the Develop module.  Attendees must bring a computer with Lightroom CC installed and activated.  Sample images will be provided for attendees to work on.  We will go through all the functionality of the Develop module and help build a workflow for fast and effective edits of a variety of different subject types.  This workshop is a must for those new to Lightroom or who want to refine the editing experience.  A Wacom tablet is recommended but not required.

May 6, 2017 - 0830 TO NOON - Newmarket Community Centre Hall #2

This hands-on workshop is all about creating your own live portfolio using Adobe tools.  Attendees must bring their own computer with Adobe Photographer's Bundle installed and activated.  We will use the room WiFi to connect to the Creative Cloud and you will build your portfolio live during the workshop.  Attendees must bring 15 finished images for use in their portfolio

May 27, 2017 - 0830 to NOON - Newmarket Community Centre Hall #2

Attendees will learn to use their built-in off camera flash controls in a hands-on workshop.  Each attendee will have the opportunity to be both photographer and model.  The class will cover setting up the off camera flash communication, using light shaping tools, positioning lights and working with non-professional models.  We will focus on one light setups, with additional lights provided in manual slave mode so all cameras can operate them.  All attendees must have a camera capable of controlling an off camera hotshoe flash optically and bring their own hotshoe flash.

June 11, 2017 - 0830 to NOON - Newmarket Community Centre Hall #2

This is a hands-on workshop on using selection tools in Photoshop.  Attendees must bring their own computer with Photoshop CC installed and activated.  We will cover the various selection tools including the area selectors, the Lasso tool, the Quick Select tool and the Pen tool.  We will also work with the new Select and Mask functions as well as the prior Refine Edge tool.  Sample images will be provided for attendees to work on.  A Wacom tablet is highly recommended.
