Ask the Authors
Each month we ask a question of our authors, and we pick a few responses- and put them in here- for you- to read.
This Month's Question:
If money were no object, and you were still writing, what places would you travel to inspire your writing?
Bruce Davis: (GlowGems for Profit, Platinum Magic)If money were no object, I'd travel first to Baltimore MD to research the city archives for information about the Stokes family, specifically if Zion, Singleton, and Wilson Stokes were brothers born there. Then I'd go to Liverpool, Cardiff and London in the UK to research the cities and their historical maps from the 1860. This is all for my historical WIP, a novel tentatively titled Proud Waves Be Stilled, about espionage in the Civil War.
Sharon Skinner: (The Healer's Legacy, Collars and Curses) Places I would like to go to inspire my writing include:The British Isles, particularly Ireland and Scotland and of course a side trip to Stonehenge, to feed my brain on history and ancient ideology, and the lush land of Irish folk legends and to walk the land that birthed Arthur.Australia, because I have readers there who have connected with The Healer's Legacy and I would like to meet some of them. Also, the land is so vastly different than anywhere else in the world. Egypt, because I so want to write a story filled with sand and mummies and ancient gods, and have not quite found my way into it, yet.
