2018- A (Quick) Look Back!

With so many things going on, and so many things to prepare for in 2019, it was hard to imagine that 2018 closed out at some point when we were not looking. Things got quiet around the Cave for the most part, as staff headed out to their Holiday destinations and CEO Bob handled any of the Day to Day stuff.

That being said. we had a FANTASTIC 2018, hitting a bunch of milestones, including:
We sold more books than EVER this year- 15% more. It was a bountiful year of success to be grateful for.

We released six new books in 2018, all of which had a great start out of the gate (go ahead, click one, check it out):
flotsam and gomorrah (parlour tricks and other mysteries) poems by Bill CampanaPlatinum Magic by Bruce DavisThieves Profit by Bruce DavisSupernal dawn by Sharon Skinner and J.A. GiuntaPrince and Little Weird Black Boy Gods by Scott Woods

And we are ready for an even BIGGER 2019! But we'll talk more about that in our February newsletter.

Book Reviews
(Click the Cover to Learn More)

Tavara Tinker: Sounds of Time (The Chronicles of Tavara Tinker Book 2)
5 Stars, Amazon, Len Evans Jr.

"Loved this second Tavara Tinker story, loved the intrigue and the developing relationship between Tavara and Jonathan."

The Healer's Legacy (The Healer's Trilogy Book 1)
5 Stars, Amazon, Fantasy done right! . . . So often Fantasy genre protagonists have little in the way of a dynamic character, but Kira is one of those that stands out to move from frightened to fighter. Exciting adventure, intriguing magic, and gentle romance round out the first book in Kira's epic story. Enjoyed by both Young Adults and Adults alike."

Prince and Little Weird Black Boy Gods
5 Stars, Amazon, Stephanee K.
Plenty has been, and will be, written about Prince. But this book of essays offers something unique: an intimate conversation, from one Prince fan to another.

Why Yes, It is a New Website . . .

One of the reasons Bob had to stay around for the holidays was to finish up work on the new website. It's live now, and we are moving in (we have even added a page for the giant monster movie we made- oh yes).

The change allowed us to retire the previous generation store as it is not integrated right into the new site. A new calendar puts all of our appearances and signings right at your fingertips
And there is more coming.

We'll share the updates with you right here- and how you can get deeper into your Brick Cave story.

That time Bob got to moderate a panel with Jennifer Roberson and got a picture of her to prove it.

New Podcast Co-Host

Full Details on the BC Patreon Blog (as a Public Post)

Starting in February, joining the podcast as a co-host will be Jenn Windrow! Jenn Windrow ( loves characters who have a pinch of spunk, a dash of  attitude, and a large dollop of sex appeal. Top it all off with a huge heaping helping of snark, and you’ve got the ingredients for the kind of  fast paced stories she loves to read and write.

We tried to warn her, but we'll see how well she can handle a fully caffeinated Bob. Look for the first episode on the BC Patreon in February.
