Book Reviews:

Another great review for The Healer's Legacy:
"The characters are really good: deep and complex, well-realized and genuine despite being characters in a fantasy novel. There are all the elements of a good story here, and that story dominates, complemented by the fantasy world and the political intrigues and the rest of it...It’s a good book. I will be reading the sequel. And also checking out more stuff from Brick Cave Media." -Dusty

Question of the Month

This month we asked authors "what is the most rewarding part of writing?"

Bruce Davis (Platinum Magic, Glowgems for Profit): "Perhaps the most rewarding part of writing is a reader who identifies with a character I’ve created and tells me they found something of themselves in my story."

J.A. Giunta (Supernal Dawn, The Last Incarnation): "The most rewarding part of writing for me is the feeling of completing a new story. It's a lot of work. There's a sense of relief and accomplishment when it's finished. The most rewarding part of being published is the ability to share those stories with other people."

Sharon Skinner (Collars & Curses, The Healer's Legacy): "As much as writing is a necessary part of who I am, the most rewarding part is making real connections with readers. I want my work to be engaging for readers and to have them connect to it on an emotional level. I want my characters to matter, even the antagonists. When a reader tells me how much they loved or hated a particular character, I know they connected with the story on a deep level and that is the best possible validation that I have developed a meaningful story that takes place in a real world filled with  believable characters."
