With names like 'Octomore 5.1', 'Rocks' and 'Port Charlotte Peat Project' you could be mistaken for thinking you're reading the line up for a music festival, but you're not. They are just three of the six single malts you'll be tasting during this epic Bruichladdich event.

Just like a great music festival you will be taken on a very diverse journey. You will have the chance to sample drams that cover the whole spectrum from un-peated to the world’s most peated whisky – described as the Mohamed Ali of Scotch.

Gee David will be hosting the tasting with his wealth of knowledge. He has worked with some of the world’s most respected and innovative distillers including a recent trip to Bruichladdich to work with Jim McEwan - the master distiller himself!

To get you excited here is a wee bit on each of the whiskies we have in store for you -

  • Classic Laddie – designed to showcase the classic and elegant Bruichladdich style, matured purely in American Oak Bourbon casks.
  • Rocks Jim has handpicked individual casks from a variety of vintages with a final maturation in French red wine casks, allowing the distinct components to melt together into this rounded fruity dram.
  • Laddie 10 – Malted entirely from Scottish barley for authenticity, slow fermented for purity, trickle distilled for creamy texture, cask-filled at 70% for extra flavour and quietly slumbering in Bruichladdich’s loch-side warehouses for the last 10 years.
  • Port Charlotte Peat Project – Brings together spirits from a number of different vintages for added complexity. According to Jim it packs the power of peat but is balanced with it’s elegant floral topnotes.
  • Port Charlotte 10 Year Old – A very special whisky, the Peat Project is allowed to mature and mellow slowly over 10 Islay years….
  • Octomore 5.1 – With peating levels at 169PPM this dram certainly packs a punch but it’s not all about ultimate strength. This dram achieves an exceptional balance, being a powerful peated whisky yet having all the finesse and poise of one of the world’s most elegant and sophisticated spirits. More Mohammed Ali than George Foreman.
