We are one week away from Christmas. I encourage you to slow down and think of a favorite Christmas memory. As we move quickly through this season, I encourage you this week to take five minutes and focus on why we celebrate Christmas. Just the other night I took a few minutes and just stared at the Christmas tree and such sweet childhood memories flooded my brain like Christmas at Grandma's, snow, and reading the Christmas Story before we opened our gifts Christmas Eve. From Claudia and I, we wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas.
Winter is here but SPRING is coming! What are we doing?
~We are looking for places to share our story and what God has called us to do in Africa. This could be a church Sunday morning or evening service, small group, club, or lunch with a few people. It could be 5 minutes or 30 minutes. We just want to get the word out of what God is doing in Africa and how people can make a difference especially in the lives of the San people of Namibia. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, if you would like us to come visit you.
~Claudia is heading to ECHO
in Ft. Myers, Florida mid January for some awesome agricultural training. ECHO empowers small-scale farmers to increase their harvest, and the nutritional diversity of their crops. They educate, equip and share sustainable solution to hunger! Today, approximately 925 million people in the world are hungry.
~January, Claudia and I begin training for 26. What is 26??? Stayed tuned and we will reveal soon.
Praise God!!! New Team Members
One of our prayer requests is that God would continue to raise up our fellow TIMO team members. We have 3 new members this month: a couple and a single lady. There are a total of 7 people now on the team. God is bringing together a team with skills in education, vocational, agriculture, and general. AIM is still looking for team members with skills in medical. Our TIMO team will be among the San people of Namibia starting in January 2015.
As we come to the close of this year, we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone who has given and pledged support to us so far. We know many of you are praying about what you can pledge monthly as our deadline is now less than a year away. Our goal is to have all our outgoing funds and monthly pledges raised by Thanksgiving 2014, but we know in God's time the support will be there. We understand the commitment because we have personally supported multiple missionary friends for over 8 years now. It has been so rewarding to hear of the stories of God working around the world and using our friends to change lives for Christ. They have been the hands and feet of the Body of Christ. Claudia and I have been blessed to be a part of their support team. Now God is sending us and we are looking for the support team through prayer and financial giving which will allow us to be the hands and feet. If you know of someone who might be interested in our journey, feel free to forward this email on to them.
