Hello, what's up, and welcome to the Lite + Brite newsletter.

This is a relatively quiet week for events, and a lot of what we do have on offer is holiday shopping markets: The Front Market and Renegade Craft Fair generally get good makers; Sky Candy's market promises an "upside-down photo booth" in addition to artisans; and the last time we went to the Austin Creative Reuse Market we got this, like, inexplicable hand-recycled objet d'art, so that alone seems like a reason to check it out. Sunday is the first night of Hanukkah, and although we're not aware of any Hanukkah events, per se, you can at least go to Kitty Cohen's and drink a latke-adjacent cocktail. (It's a stretch, but we'll take what we can get.) The event this week that we're most looking forward to is the Austin Music Video Festival, since we enjoy all those things. Austin! Music! Videos! Festivals! What's not to like? Also, given that there are not a ton of events for you to scroll through this week, we hope you'll pay some extra attention to all our DJing links, including a recorded mix from this week's No Lights No Lycra.

Let's do fun stuff!

DJ Stuff

We have one remaining No Lights No Lycra dance party in the dark before the end of the year. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, December 7, at West China Tea! We made a recording of this week's edition of NLNL, which was a corker. More info on that down below. And make sure you're following NLNLATX on Instagram or Facebook for updates.

In the online world, No Humans Allowed, Brian's weekly internet radio show on Kpiss.fm, devoted a show entirely to robots to do all the holiday cooking, full of synthesized song about food and the joys of cooking.

How do we choose which events to feature?
Honestly, it's pretty random. We might include anything in Austin that we, personally, would conceivably want to go to, generally excluding normal concerts, comedy shows, and movie showtimes because there are many other good resources for finding those. (We especially recommend Showlist for live music, dance.atx for DJs, and 101+ Weird Austin Things to Do for exactly what it sounds like). This list is by no means exhaustive; it's just stuff that caught our eye this week. If you have an event that you want us to consider including, send it over.

Who are we?
We make this newsletter. We put on No Lights No Lycra each week. We do some other stuff here and there. We love going out to creative events in Austin, and we want you to join us. Visit us at liteandbriteatx.com.
SEE YOU NEXT WEEK, CHAMPIONS.
