Dear members:

Dine Downtown kicks off today, calling to mind bustling restaurants, people strolling the streets, and the arts - live music, museums, and theater - that often accompany the dining experience.  Will you pair a nice Italian meal with a trip to the San Jose Museum of Art? Or a spicy South of the border selection with the Rita Moreno Biography or In The Heights movies at 3Below?   The options Downtown are expanding and we can’t wait to welcome you and your patrons back.

SoFA hosts vaccinations today

On Thursday, July 1, from 4-10 pm, the County of Santa Clara will bring their new  mobile vaccine van to SoFA.  The van will host free vaccines and $10-$20 food merchant gift card incentives (can’t be used for alcohol) for those who get vaccinated. Those who are already vaccinated can get the gift card by bringing an unvaccinated friend to get the shot.

With the 15-minute waiting period after the shot and the rapid registration process, the vaccination should be very quick.  If you have any employees that still need to be vaccinated, this would be a great opportunity for them and their families ages 12 and older to get the shot.  There will be the Johnson and Johnson "one and done" for 18+ and Pfizer 2-dose option for 12+, with the second dose occurring at an alternate drop-in location starting July 23.

The event will be set up at or near the SoFA Market, 387 South First St. For more information or for alternate date and vaccine clinic locations visit

Help plan the future of the Downtown PBID -- Please take this survey
Since 2007, the San Jose Downtown Association has managed the Downtown Property-Based Improvement District (PBID). The PBID collects an assessment on Downtown properties within a specific boundary to fund enhanced services, including the uniformed Groundwerx clean team and safety ambassadors, tree maintenance and flower planting, public art, business development assistance, and more. Through the PBID, property and business owners have had a role in helping to achieve the goal of a Downtown San Jose that is clean, safe, beautiful, and vibrant. To learn more about the San Jose Downtown Association and the PBID, visit

The PBID is reauthorized every ten years. The current term expires in 2022, and as part of the reauthorization process, SJDA seeks feedback on how it can continue to provide services that are of value to Downtown stakeholders. Below is a quick survey that should take you about 5 to 10 minutes to complete. Your input will be considered as plans are made to continue PBID services in Downtown San Jose. Take the survey in English, Spanish or Vietnamese
