Hello Fleurieu Lovers,

What an extraordinary 1st half of 2019 it's been. Anyone else just looked up to see it's mid-June? So this is your May, I mean June update.

The Fleurieu welcomed 10 of Adelaide's top hotel concierges for a 2-day familiarisation of the region recently. What a show the weather put on - we even swam with Tuna and that was at the end of Autumn! With their awareness heightened, the concierges continue to send day trippers and overnight stays to region. This event was closely followed by a lot of love from the Adelady gals - again, mostly superb weather (...mostly), read more below, or better still - watch it in the coming weeks.
I really love the winter on the Fleurieu, which is one reason why FPT ran a digital winter campaign in 2018. It was a great success and we're off the blocks again in 2019. Is it just me or is the vernacular around a miserable winter generally changing to 'embrace the brisk'? Please embrace our socials to spread the word.

And great news... there's been a couple of big funding announcements of late with $6 million to the reinvigorate the Heysen Trail project and $20 million to the long-awaited repairs or replacement of the causeway between Victor Harbor and Granite Island. And to top it off our beloved horse tram to Granite Island is back in operation!

Until next we meet, embrace the brisk.

Warm Regards,
Nat Kirby  😎

Fleurieu Peninsula Winter Campaign

'Embrace the Brisk' Campaign
We've kicked off our winter digital campaign and it's going great guns! 2 prizes to be won across the Fleurieu and the idea is to embrace our winter, rather than just put up with it because the alternative is going somewhere warm. Nope, we love it just the way it is, so please help us promote our beautiful, temperate winter. It's all relative! Includes 4 cool blogs across the Fleurieu to read.

Fleurieu on TV

Travel Guides
The Fleurieu Peninsula episode which was aired in March was a huge success for the region, with an approximate 3.5M viewers, which equated to an Advertising Space Rate of roughly $2M. AND it replayed without our knowledge, but we know people who watched it again. The numbers on this are quite extraordinary.
Pretty much a whole week was spent with the Adelady gang recently, and I can tell you they scored some magic weather during filming! Did you see the gang at Bremerton, Bleasdale and Kimbolton at Langhorne Creek last Sunday? Next up are some of the finalists at the 2018 SA Tourism Awards on the 23rd and another whole-of-Fleurieu episode on the 30th June. Woot-woot.
