Hello Fleurieu Lovers,
Determined to get this update out in July, I've diverted attention from annual report writing and everything else that happens in a 'typical' day. Believe me when I say, there isn't a 'typical' day in this job!

I'm writing this preamble on the 2 year anniversary of working for this fabulous region and still marvel at its beauty and potential. I also marvel at the number of times I send those private messages late at night on Instagram to remind locals it's spelt 'eu' followed by 'eu'. Yes, referring to the spelling of Fleurieu - keep this tip handy if you need help.

We've finished the digital winter campaign and I'm thrilled to tell you we had 3,215 unique entries for the 2 Fleurieu getaway prize packages. In addition, there were 252 duplicate entries... people want to be here that much! We also increased our social followers by 1,790 and on Facebook alone, saw engagement peak at 271, 800+ with more than 23,500 FPT website page views in the 29-day campaign period. Not too shabby and the upshot means those eyeballs are looking at the Fleurieu, looking at our businesses and likely thinking about a holiday with us. Keep up the momentum by using the hashtag #fleurieupeninsula and tagging @officialfleurieupeninsula on Insta and @fleurieupeninsula on facebook. And remember 'eu' followed by 'eu' and not an 'r' (or a pirate) to be seen in 'peninsula'.

Until next we meet, embrace the brisk.

Warm Regards,
Nat Kirby  😎
Executive Officer, Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism Inc.
