"America was built on courage, on imagination and an unbeatable determination."
Harry S.Truman

July marks the midway point of the year, and it's also the time when we celebrate our nation's Independence Day. As Americans, we are proud that our country stands for freedom because it's that freedom that allows us to chase our dreams and create the life we desire. But a large part of that freedom means having the financial stability to pursue those goals. The earlier you secure financial independence, the more opportunity you'll have to make your dreams a reality. Historically, homeownership has proven to be one of the best ways to build wealth and secure a financial future, being cited as a significant component of the American Dream. For many of us, it's a forced savings account because as we pay down our principal, we build equity, which helps to increase our net worth. There's also the benefit of the property appreciating, creating even more equity, and further growing net worth. Your home can also be a tax shelter, protecting your property from capital gains tax when you sell your home, allowing you to keep more money in your pocket. Not to mention having a fixed, stable housing payment, allowing you to save on the cost of living and put more money towards savings, investments, or other avenues that can help build your wealth. According to the 2019 Survey of Consumer Finances, a survey that collects detailed accounts of households' finances, the median homeowner has 40 times the household wealth of a renter. So, if you want to gain financial freedom, buying a home can be one of the best things you can do to help you build long-term wealth.

We wish you a Happy 4th of July and check out our list below and stay cool this summer at one of our local beaches in Metro Detroit.

If you haven’t heard, yes, it’s a seller’s market! Our buyers are persistent, but it’s not easy going up against multiple offers and losing out on their dream home. If you or someone you know is interested in selling, please reach out to us, and we may be able to make a match. The map below is our current search area, but inventory is extremely low throughout the entire Metro Detroit area, so call us because it’s definitely a good time to sell.
