How is Animal Reiki Different?
I've been getting alot of questions about my Animal Reiki classes, so I thought I'd answer them here.
How is this class different from Level I & II Reiki (for people)?
That’s a great question! ICRT Animal Reiki, which is based on Usui/Holy Fire Reiki, attunes you to a unique energy, and includes symbols, tools and techniques which are different than those taught in Usui Reiki.
Here’s what you can expect-
• Two empowerments (placements) to attune and unify the ICRT Animal Reiki energy with your existing Reiki energy and symbols
• A comprehensive ICRT Animal Reiki 1 & 2 Manual
• The Animal Reiki symbol
• Learn the 3 priorities of ICRT Animal Reiki
• Get experience working with animals in real-time online
• Learn both in-person and distant ICRT Animal Reiki session techniques
• Learn how to give ICRT Animal Reiki to many different species of animals
• Learn basics on shelter and volunteer work, and creating your own Animal Reiki business
Who can take this class? Is there a pre-requisite?
This class is for those who have already taken Level I & II Reiki (for people) or higher, even if your class covered how to practice Reiki with animals. It doesn’t matter which style or lineage of Reiki you trained in.
What can I do with the skills I learn in this class?
This class is for you if you want to start offering Animal Reiki sessions, or simply to share Reiki with your own animals. You can also use the skills you learn in this class when you practice self-Reiki and in your regular Reiki sessions with people. But Animal Reiki is so much more than that…it will help you come home to yourself and create a deeper relationship with the natural world. You will begin to feel at home in the world and in your body, which will help you show up in your daily life with more love and compassion.
How is this different from other Animal Reiki classes?
There are lots of other Animal Reiki classes out there, so it’s hard to make a comparison. All Animal Reiki classes are valid and we honor all styles and lineages, but the one thing that stands out is that this class is based on Usui/Holy Fire Reiki and has its own symbols, tools and techniques. It’s a highly effective method that the animals respond to in a very positive way. If you love animals, I think you will enjoy this class.
Will this class meet live online, or is it pre-recorded?
This is a live online class. We will meet on Zoom and the class will be conducted as if we were in-person. We will all see and hear each other and be able to interact in real time. You will have time to ask questions, practice on the animals, and share your experiences.
How is it possible to learn & practice Animal Reiki online?
The ICRT Animal Reiki class was specially designed to be taught online, and in it you will learn to practice both remotely and in person. In fact, ICRT Animal Reiki sessions are most often done remotely because animals respond best when they are in their own space. Most students who take the class have their own animals, so we go over how to give a Reiki session to your own animal (in person), as well as how to give remote sessions by practicing with others online during class.
What if I don’t have an animal to bring with me to class?
You do not have to have an animal with you for class. In fact, many students have more than one animal and that gives us plenty of animals to share Reiki with during class.
What if I miss some of the class? Will it be recorded?
The ICRT Animal Reiki Level I & II class is a multi-day class, meeting in shorter segments, in order to give students time to digest the material and practice the skills. The classes are not recorded. It is expected that you will attend the live online classes as if they were held in-person. You must attend all days of class in order to complete the training and receive a certificate of completion. If you know ahead of time that you will have a conflict, please get in touch with me to determine whether you should register or wait for the next class.
Is there support available between and after classes?
A private FaceBook group is available for students during and after the class. There you will have access to other students and myself for questions and to build community. It is not required that you be on FaceBook in order to take the class. This is an added bonus. Of course, you can contact me directly at any time during and after the class.
