The court will render a decision on the federally imposed Trudeau Carbon Tax this Friday. 

It is our hope that the court will rule in our favour, the favour of the Saskatchewan people. There have been many petitions presented in the Legislature against the Carbon Tax. Please see mine below.

The 2019 Saskatchewan Order Of Merit Recipients Announced

This June, six deserving Saskatchewan citizens will be invested with the Saskatchewan Order of Merit, the province’s highest honour.

“The 2019 recipients of the Saskatchewan Order of Merit are visionaries who have made extraordinary contributions to our province,” Lieutenant Governor W. Thomas Molloy said.  “I congratulate each of them on this well-deserved honour and I thank them for their outstanding leadership.”

Nominations Are Open For Saskatchewan’s 2019 Council Of The Federation Literacy Award

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2019 Canada’s Premiers’ Council of the Federation Literacy Award (COFLA).  Saskatchewan recognizes literacy champions by focusing on a different category every two years, rotating the award with literacy learners, literacy volunteers and literacy leaders.  In 2019, Saskatchewan will honour a family literacy volunteer.

“This year, Saskatchewan’s Council of the Federation Literacy Award will recognize the important work that volunteers do to promote family literacy in Saskatchewan,” Deputy Premier and Education Minister Gordon Wyant said.  “Increasing literacy levels in Saskatchewan is a priority, the support of literacy volunteers provides a considerable resource for our province.”

Governments Of Canada And Saskatchewan Sign 10-Year Housing Agreement

Families, Indigenous communities and vulnerable Canadians in need of an affordable place to call home can count on long-term funding for community housing in Saskatchewan as a result of an agreement signed today by the federal and provincial governments.

Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, on behalf of Jean-Yves Duclos, Canada’s Minister of Families, Children and Social Development and Minister Responsible for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), and Social Services Minister and Minister Responsible for Saskatchewan Housing Corporation (SHC) Paul Merriman, today announced they have reached a bilateral agreement under the National Housing Strategy (NHS).  This agreement, which will be cost-shared by the Governments of Canada and Saskatchewan, demonstrates a joint commitment to prioritize affordable housing.

Government Of Saskatchewan Partnering With Natural Resources Canada To Help Producers Manage Climate Change

The Government of Saskatchewan, in partnership with Natural Resources Canada and the Saskatchewan Water Security Agency (WSA), announced $1.3 million in funding and in-kind support to help Saskatchewan producers and communities successfully manage the impacts of climate change.

Natural Resources Canada pledged more than $587,000 through the Building Regional Adaptation Capacity and Expertise (BRACE) Program.  The Government of Saskatchewan is providing $320,000, while the WSA along with partner organizations will contribute an additional $326,000 of in-kind support.
