Cloud computing's golden era is now!

The other night I relaxed by watching Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris,” which was essentially a tug-of-war between nostalgia and modernism. Simply stated, we often look back and say the 1950s were GREAT (based on our perception,) but in reality, people in the 1950s would beg to differ with behaviors such as mid-day drinkathons for white collar workers, etc. Another example is to look back at your high school years fondly when in fact it was a very awkward time for most people. In Midnight in Paris, the main character looks into the past and meets famous writers, etc. in Paris in the 1920s. A must watch.

My point is this: We’re living in cloud computing’s golden era right here right now, but it’s hard to see. A virtual taxi service has a valuation of $51 billion. Are you kidding me? Daily releases of new applications undreamed of just years ago are mind boggling.
