Important Updates Available on VFA COVID-19 Resource Page
As the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Virginia’s forestry community evolves, VFA remains committed to providing the most reliable, timely information to support our community through challenging times. This week, the VFA COVID-19 Resource Page was updated with several new items, including:
  • A Landowner Resource section, with guidance and tools provided by the Virginia Department of Forestry and Virginia Cooperative Extension;
  • An update to the Small Business Resource section, including a side-by-side comparison of the new Paycheck Protection and Economic Injury Disaster Loan programs offered through the U.S. Small Business Administration. This resource is complete with links to forms and approved lenders that can assist qualifying small businesses with capital needs, and;
  • New Guidance for Operating a Forestry/Forest Products Business including information from the Virginia State Police on enforcement of current executive orders (employee documentation requirements) as well as employer posting requirements for FFCRA Paid Sick Leave and Expanded Family Leave.
