In this issue, we talked with Emmanuel Saint-Martin, Founder and CEO of French Morning:

In a few words, can you present French Morning?

We are the web magazine of the french speaking community in the US. We started in New York 8 years ago and have now 5 local editions (NY, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami and Texas).

What subjects are you covering?

Anything French-American! We cover business, life style, politics and more as long as it relates to the life of our readers and the French-American community. We also have a strong "city guide" component: tips and places to be in the different cities we cover.

What links does French Morning have with France?

I would say the same our readers have: that's where we come from, a place we love even if it's sometimes painful!

How are you helping the French American community in the San Francisco Bay Area ?

A lot of the content we publish in our San Francisco edition (like other editons) is "news you can use": education, housing, immigration, etc. Our number one mission is to be useful to our readers, if only by giving them a sense of community that's the foundation of the American culture. If they can feel that being part of the French community does in no way separate them from their American neighbor, but makes them more American, we will have succeeded!
