I don’t address this much in our letters, but I want to thank you for faithfully supporting our family. It has been over three years since we have been back stateside, and the last time we were back was only for a few months. I was thinking recently about some of our supporting churches that have been supporting us for over eight years faithfully and of those there are some we haven’t seen since deputation. I want you to know that we appreciate the sacrifices you have made to support our ministry in China. Your faithfulness is a great encouragement and motivation.
We have made inroads with some of my classmates recently, and continue to seek their salvation. One of the young men that I recently led to Christ has expressed a desire to get baptized and join the church. Please prayer continue to prayer for him. Since many of the Covid restriction have been loosening up we have been able to start passing out gospel tracts once again. Two of the new tracts that we printed before the pandemic have all been passed out and we are doing another printing soon.
In the last letter we mentioned some safety concerns with our church meeting place. The management company was getting complaints about our meetings. Though they did show up during one of our services, since then they have left us alone. We were able to talk to the one of the neighbors who reported us and it seems they are more concerned about “foreigners” meeting next door than they are about the content of our meetings. Since the pandemic there has been a lot of anti-foreign press which seems to have influenced some of our neighbors. We are currently looking for a new place to meet, but since talking to both our landlord and our neighbor, things have calmed down a bit and we can take our time to find a new place. Please pray that we would be able to find a place suitable for our small church to meet.
