Dear Praying Friends,

We are ecstatic about our newest member of the family, Naomi Leah Ray. She was born Tuesday, September 6th at 9:18 p.m. She was 20 inches long and weighed 7 1/2 lbs. Naomi is healthy and Mommy is recovering well. We thank the Lord for giving us another little girl and for allowing us to make it to the hospital on time, seeing Beth went into labor during Beijing rush hour.

The past few months have brought about many changes to our ministry here at Truth. Though the changes have been good for the growth of the church, they bring with them new problems to solve and bridges to cross.

The Lord has given us a new location. I am sure many of you have prayed with us about this over that last few months. It is a great answer to prayer. The new building is much larger and more comfortable than the one we were renting previously. We will be able to seat more people in the auditorium as well as capacitate all of our pastoral training. The move has not come without hiccups. The landlord was responsible for the remodel, so in many ways it didn't meet the requirements that we agreed on in the contract. We have been able to work most things out. The only issue that hasn't been resolved is that the construction of hallway that was to run the length of the building and connect all the class rooms has been stopped because of permits and red tape. Pray we can get this resolved before winter sets in.

The Chinese government is arduously cracking down on foreign religious activity. The move was great timing, as most people around our last location were aware of what we where doing. It would seem, keeping a long term visa in China is going to become more and more difficult, though definitely not impossible. Pray that the Lord would give us wisdom to weather this storm.

The Lord has done a great work in the lives of our young people over the last few years. We have not only seen much growth, but the Lord has called several of our young men to preach. Right now, we have four young men (16-19 years of age) that have surrendered to God’s call. Satan is putting up a fight. Just in the last couple of months we have seen God do great things to protect these boys. We have had Christian parents fighting tooth and nail to get their sons to go to America and make money and not surrender to God; unsaved parents trying to move there sons to other cities to get them away from church in hopes of keeping them from ending up as preachers. Through it all God has miraculously answered our prayers and kept them here. Satan is not done fighting, but seeing God work in the last two incidents has strengthened our resolve to keep fighting.

We greatly appreciate your support and prays, knowing that without you we could not do what we do here.

In Christ,

Neal, Beth, Lois, Abigail and Naomi
