Are you compliant with the Employment Equity Act to avoid fines?
The Employment Equity Act requires that any person who employs 50 or more employees OR has a turnover equal to or greater than that list in the schedule below is required to submit to the Act.
As a designated employer you are required to comply with the following in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
Submit Employment Equity Reports and Income Differential statement by 1 October.
Assign a Senior Manager to manage and implement Employment Equity in the company
Establish a Consultative Forum
Prepare an Employment Equity Plan
Monitor and Review your Employment Equity Plan
Any employer failing to comply with these requirements can be liable of a fine of up to R900 000.

Smart Procurement World South Africa
Izikhulu has successfully participated at the Smart Procurement World Conference and Exhibition that was held at the Gallagher Convention Centre from the 10 – 12 of September. The event was excellent, with brilliant speakers and networking opportunities.
Durban Business Fair
Izikhulu is in preparation to exhibit at The Durban Business Fair which will be held at the Durban Exhibition Centre on the 20 – 22 September. We invite everyone to join us at the Durban Business Fair to explore opportunities of networking, and address all B-BBEE related matters.

SANAS Accreditation on Financial Sector Code
Since the publication of our last newsletter it has been brought to our attention that Izikhulu BEE Ratings is not the only agency in KZN that has the scope of accreditation for the Financial Sector Code. Izikhulu BEE Ratings would like to apologise for this error and correct this statement by saying that we are among a few agencies in KZN and around the country that have been accredited to conduct verifications on the Financial Sector Code.
