Just a handful of days left until Christmas, but our adoptable dogs and cats are still hoping they'll be picked by their very own forever families in time to snuggle up by the tree with them next week. Come by our adoption center tomorrow and meet some of them!

Date: Saturday, December 21, 2013
Time: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Place: TMHPR Adoption Center, 561 W. Campbell Rd., Suite 303, Richardson, 75080. Click here for a map

Ways to Donate to TMHPR This Holiday Season

We have over 60 dogs and cats -- including some newborn puppies! -- in our program waiting adoption and/or fosters right now, and thanks to the wonderful generosity of many volunteers and donors, we're able to provide them with nutritious food, warm shelter, proper vet care, and plenty of love and attention! We couldn't do this without any of you sharing, networking, volunteering, and donating your time and money so that they can get a second (and sometimes third or fourth!) chance for a forever home.

In honor of the season, we've created a "virtual" angel tree where you can make a donation of any amount to help us save more lives and give our foster pets all that they need to thrive as they wait for adoption. Or simply click here go directly to the donation page

You can also stop by our Adoption Center this Saturday and check out our "real" angel tree, too! Or you can check out our Amazon.com Wish List to view our ongoing needs. Thank you for thinking of TMHPR this holiday season!

Thank you!

Puppy Fosters or Forever Homes Needed!

Bruiser and Cody would love to be in a foster home this Christmas! Fosters provide stability, security and the love and affection these wonderful animals deserve after a difficult life. Cody is a beautiful 10-month-old German Shepherd mix rescued from the streets of Dallas, and Bruiser is an energetic 6-month-old border collie/terrier mix rescued with his siblings after they'd been dumped in a pasture just outside of Dallas. TMHPR pays for all the vet bills and can provide food, medications, and supplies. If you're interested in fostering (or adopting!) one of these precious pups, email us at foster@takemehomepetrescue.com, or fill out our online foster application form

HELP BABY ENJOY A HEALTHY CHRISTMAS!

Baby came to TMHPR after having lost her mother to illness and the family who owned them dumped them at the Circle Star Pet Resort. Thankfully, our wonderful friends at Circle Star alerted us to her plight, and we immediately took her into our foster program. Unfortunately, this sweet 5-year-old poodle turned out to have numerous health issues, including breast cancer, heartworm, and an eye infection that will require surgery. We really want to show Baby that there's hope and love and a wonderful forever family out there just waiting to adopt her, but in the meantime she is recovering from her cancer treatments in a safe and loving foster home and awaiting the other procedures she must undergo.

Her vet expenses exceed $1500, and we are just a little over halfway through our goal. Please consider making a generous gift of any amount towards Baby's care and welfare by clicking here. It's not too late to share the Christmas spirit with this deserving pup. Thank you for your support!
