A record number of sponsors for EuroPerio10

A total of 31 sponsors have signed up for EuroPerio10 – a record number for an EFP EuroPerio congress. There are five "diamond" sponsors, four "platinum" sponsors, and 22 "gold" sponsors for EuroPerio10, which is due to take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, in June. In addition, almost 100 companies have signed up to take space in the exhibition hall, which is a key part of the EuroPerio congress. Almost 3,000m2 of exhibition space has so far been sold. "Industry interest is unabated – everyone’s excited to finally meet again in Copenhagen," said Mondial Congress & Events, the EFP's profesional conference organiser.

EuroPerio10, with a main programme featuring more than 130 speakers from over 30 countries, takes place at the Bella Center in Copenhagen (pictured) on June 15 to 18. The deadline for early booking – with a discount of 35% compared to onsite booking – is March 2.

EUROPERIO SERIES

The latest EuroPerio Series sessions on the "road to Copenhagen" highlighted innovations in periodontal therapy and the surgical management of peri-implantitis.

The fourth session, held on Monday 13 December, focused on step 2 of the EFP’s S3-level clinical practice guideline on the treatment of periodontitis in stages I-III, exploring when adjunctives should be used alongside subgingival instrumentation. Chaired by Filippo Graziani, former EFP president and professor of periodontology at the University of Pisa, the session involved four speakers – Iain Chapple (UK), Alpdogan Kantarci (USA), Wim Teughels (Belgium), and Giovanni Salvi (Switzerland) – who discussed the evidence and rationale for using different groups of adjunctives.

The fifth session, held on January 10, was chaired by Tord Berglundh (Sweden) and explored the “Scandinavian connection” in peri-implant diseases and what is new in the surgical management of these diseases. The session featured contributions from EFP president-elect Andreas Stavropoulos (Denmark), Lisa Heitz-Mayfield (Australia), Jan Derks (Sweden), and Frank Schwarz (Germany).

The sixth and penultimate EuroPerio Series session will take place on March 14 (18.00-20-00 CET), devoted to the topic of personalised medicine. It will be chaired by Bruno Loos (Netherlands) with speakers Niki Moutsopoulos (USA) and Egija Zaura (Netherlands). Access is free for people who have already registered and paid for the EuroPerio10. Registration for each individual session of the EuroPerio Series costs €35.
