GUM HEALTH DAY 2022: 'TREAT YOUR GUMS'

The EFP has presented its affiliated national societies of periodontology and its partners with an innovative “campaign builder” for driving awareness of periodontal health in this year’s Gum Health Day campaign.
Organised around the slogan of “Treat your gums”, Gum Health Day 2022 on May 12 will tell the public of the harmful effects of all forms of gum disease – gingivitis, periodontitis, peri-implant mucositis, and peri-implantitis – on both oral and overall health.
The campaign – led by Gum Health Day co-ordinator Moritz Kebschull – calls for the prevention, early detection, and effective treatment of gum diseases. It emphasises the important role of well-informed clinicians, highlighting the current (2018) classification of periodontal and peri-implant diseases and conditions and the EFP’s clinical practice guidelines for treating periodontitis.
The tool devised to help drive home this message is the “campaign builder”, which allows the creation customised layouts for posters and social media posts around the slogan “Treat your gums”.

Perio Talks special on May 12

To mark Gum Health Day 2022, there will be a live Perio Talks session on Instagram on May 12 at 18.00 (CET), in which Moritz Kebschull and representatives of EFP-affiliated national societies of periodontology will talk about awareness initiatives in different countries, the use of the campaign builder, and how to create greater awareness of Gum Health Day and of gum health in general.

'NIGHTMARE' SESSIONS IN COPENHAGEN

KEY ROLE OF EUROPERIO10 AMBASSADORS
ambassadors' graffitiA key role in promoting the EuroPerio10 congress is being played by the EuroPerio10 ambassadors. “The ambassadors hold the ‘beating heart’ of communication to EuroPerio’s core participants, and thanks to their hard work during the challenging time of the Covid-19 pandemic, there is a huge interest in EuroPerio10” said Tali Chackartchi, chair of the EuroPerio10 ambassador programme.
