Living the Christian Life
View this email in your browser
Living the Christian life is not something we do when we feel like it, when it's convenient but one shaped by recognising that Jesus, who left heaven to become fully human, established through his death and resurrection a way for us to re-establish a relationship with God through the cleansing of his shed blood.

In order to receive that cleansing we must first have the humility to recognise our need of it, confess it and receive the blessing of God's forgiveness.

It is this humility that will enable us to recognise those things in our hearts and minds and lives that are of the darkness and begin, with God's help, to live lives that are ordered by the light of Christ.

As we look into John's first letter this term let us mine its depths for gems that give fresh order to our lives so that the beauty of Christ may be seen in us everyday.

KIng's Kids

It is with thanksgiving and some sadness that we announce that after many years King's Kids has come to the end of its ministry as an after-school activity for Reception and Year One children at Hemingford Primary School.  We thank Chris Clarkson, Anne Johnson and Barbara Butler for their long and faithful service.

Fundraising for Christian Vision for Men  Saturday 14th September

Paul Lilly is taking part in the Scottish Coast-to-Coast ‘Rat Race - a 105 mile journey of running, cycling and kayaking, starting on a beach in Nairn and finishing approximately 13 hours later on the shores of Glencoe having ascended nearly
11 000 feet along the way.

This year he is hoping to raise funds for a charity called Christian Vision for Men (CVM) who are working hard to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to men; a powerful message of hope and purpose.

It would be fantastic if you could donate to the work of CVM through Paul’s Just Giving page,  or speak to Paul directly for more information on how you can donate to this great cause.

Look out for news updates as I build up to the event!
JustGiving sends your donation straight to CVM so that they can put your generosity to good use!

Thank you for your support! Paul
