We live in an age of pluralism where every religion is considered equal. There are similarities between all faiths. They all contain moral codes, ethics, respect for other people and a belief in a creator God.

However, as Christians, we believe that the only way to God is through the Lord Jesus Christ. People argue that we are far too dogmatic and intolerant of other faiths. But, the uniqueness of Christianity comes from the fact that the God of the Bible has demonstrated His love for mankind in coming to earth in the form of a human being. Rather than our trying to reach up to God by obeying a moral code, God has graciously come down to us in the person of Jesus Christ who is the visible image of the invisible God. More than that, He took all our sin upon Himself so that we might be forgiven and have a living relationship with God.

No other religion can offer what Christ offers us and, what’s more, it is free. We have just celebrated, over Easter, the most important events in human history, the sacrificial death and glorious resurrection of God’s Son. Let us make sure that we receive Jesus’ offer of salvation which is free and far too good not to accept.

Thanks again. Richard Wallis’
