We are body, mind and spirit and every day we are touched by God in these areas. Are we paying attention?
Over the last two weeks I have been touched by the coming of Spring, the smell of lilac blossoms, seeing the lily-of-the-valley patch vibrant with glossy dark green leaves and delicate white bells. Reminding me of my grandmother.
I was touched by the obituary of Jean Vanier, the founder of L ’Arche Community. He brought the seemingly strong and able, the physically and mentally challenged to share in life together, and saw how all were changed by love.
I enjoyed watching ”Adele in her own words” and the film “The Girl on the Train”; strength in weakness or vulnerability.
My mind and spirit have been exercised by meditating on John 12:46-48, seeing the importance of looking at God’s word in different translations when I was veering off at a tangent.
I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears my words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects me and does not receive my words, has that which judges him—the word I have spoken will judge him in the last day. (New King James)
I pondered the rejection of Christ and thought about and prayed for those who are seeking for truth. I was encouraged by Jean Vanier who was driven by a powerful vision of strength through weakness, which I know to be true when abiding with God; and especially so when encouraged and surrounded by love.
