Recently we have had a few internal changes within the Sheep Genetics team.
Hamish Chandler has accepted a position as the Program Manager, Genetics.
His role will also be responsible for increasing the awareness, adoption and utilisation of the benefits of current and future genetic technologies as well as improving the delivery and use of genetic information by the Australian Red Meat industry.
Hamish will continue to lead the Sheep Genetics team until his replacement has been appointed, after which he will still be involved at a higher level.
David Rubie tendered his resignation from the role of MERINOSELECT Database Officer, he finished up at the end of September to further develop his own business.
We are currently recruiting for a new Database officer and look forward to announcing a replacement as soon as possible. Details on the position can be found here for interested parties.
We would like to ask everyone to please be patient during this transition period, we will endeavor to maintain our standards of service to clients however there may be some delays due to staff covering multiple positions.
If you are seeking software support for the freeware programs, we ask that you utilise the services of a Service Provider who is experienced in the programs. Service Providers can assist with setting up, utilising and training breeders to ensure that you can get the most from it. A list of Service Providers can be found here.
