After World War II his grandfather moved to the city Ptuj where he started working in the Ptujska Klet – Ptuj wine cellar as a cellar cleaner and worked his way up to head winemaker and CEO of the oldest winery in Slovenia now know as Pullus. Did You Know?

The most widely planted varietal in the world is Cabernet Sauvignon which originated in Bordeaux, France. Since so many regions worldwide plant Cabernet Sauvignon, a fun way to figure out which style you like best is to pick up a few bottles from different regions. A region's influence on a varietal's style is known as terroir, and you can try this with as many different varietals as you like as a unique way to learn more about wine!

of the Week

Veedha Means Life
Douro, Portugal

Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Toiuriga Nacional

The traditional grapes form the Douro Valley combined with the schist-clay soils originated a perfect blend between the Douro's character and a more international style resulting in ripe fruits and jams with light nuances of cocoa. Round tannins and uplifting freshness on an elegant and harmonious finish.

Abie's Beer
of the Week

Sierra Nevada
Rum-Barrel Aged Quad
Belgian Quadrupel

8% ABV  |  100 IBU

Brewer's Notes:

Evil Cousin is Heretic's take on a West coast imperial IPA. This beer is a bold, in-your-face hop monster. It has a light, easy drinking malt character that allows the hops to stand out. The hop character in this beer is intentionally on the dank side; big, sticky, and aggressive. This beer is for those of you who can't get enough hops. Join us on the dank side.
