North Welcomes Back Students for In Person Learning
North has welcomed back students who want to engage in In Person Learning.  North is following all safety protocols and students are present Mondays through Thursdays from 8am - 1pm.  Students are expected to remain physically distanced and wear a mask at all times, even when they are out in the community.  The Viking staff is incredible, having adjusted to being back in the building and providing support for students.  North will continue to balance the physical health with the mental health needs of North and the North community.  Please continue to do your part by wearing your mask, keeping your distance, and stopping the spread of COVID-19 so that we can continue with in person learning at North!

CAREER FRIDAYS - Virtual Sharing
We are looking for individuals in various career fields (that's where you come in) to sign up to share about their careers during our Career Fridays.  Click on this link to learn more and see if there is a Friday that might work for you to share virtually about what you do!

During the 2012-2013 School Year, North had 779 students.  This coming year, we will have over 1,600 students.  This is a true testament to the entire North community as we have been able to grow while also improving the quality of our programming.

PERFORMANCES! Click the links below to see and hear the incredible performances by North's performing arts students last semester.

This project aims to advance the transit vision for Federal identified in the 2017 Federal Boulevard Corridor Study. This alternatives analysis is the next step to define transit improvements and advance towards the funding needed for future implementation.

Winter Watering

This winter has been especially dry, so residents are encouraged to water trees on their property when temperatures exceed 40 degrees. Without consistent moisture, trees become stressed and will not have enough energy to ward off pests, disease, root death and crown dieback.

Water using the flood-irrigation technique: leave a hose on low-flow for at least 15-20 minutes, moving it around the base of the tree every few minutes until the entire root area is moist. It's important to note that tree root systems are wide, so water under the entire canopy.

The goal is to water enough so that it can seep at least 12" deep into the soil to reach the root system. Because the ground is cold, this may take a couple days of watering to accomplish. Let the soil dry out before watering again.
