The Beauty Of Business Workshops

Over the last 12 years Omni Academy have been proud to offer our students professional qualifications, giving you the gateway into your new careers.
Nothing gives us greater pleasure than seeing you realise your dreams and build your own successful businesses. However it struck us that often, once you've achieved those all important qualifications, taking the next steps can be very uncertain, especially if being your own boss is a first for you.   
So we've teamed up with professional Business Coach, Andy Turnbull and together we've developed a series of practical workshops to help you start, run and grow your beauty business.

This series of workshops is designed for Beauty Professionals like you wherever you are on your business journey. They will equip you with the knowledge skills and insights you need to confidently start, run and grow your business. 
Turn your thoughts, scribbles and ideas into the reality of running your own business with a business plan you've created.

We've broken these workshops down into three different topics: 
  • Starting your Beauty Business
  • The Beauty of Money Part 1 and Part 2
  • The Beauty of Marketing Part 1 and Part 2

Starting your Beauty Business
 

This 3 hour, small group workshop is the first stage in your Business Development journey.
Assess your business idea. Turn it from an idea to a plan. Learn and discuss how you'll grow it, develop it and action it! 
Suitable and recommended for everyone who is starting, thinking of starting or has recently started their business.
You will receive an overview across multiple areas of your developing business, with practical guidance on what to do. The workshop includes understanding your customers, deciding what services you’ll be delivering and how, registering your business, finance basics and getting your first clients.
You’ll also be given a workbook to take away with you plus access to additional resources online to help you implement what you’ve learnt.

The Beauty Of Money Workshops

 These two linked workshops, Part 1 and Part 2, are designed to be booked together. You'll receive actions to complete in between sessions.

Money Part 1, Finance and legal essentials -  has been tailored to give you the skills and information that you need to understand the key legal, insurance, tax and financial aspects of your business. You'll learn all about the essential things that you will need to be aware of, so you can get your legal and financial aspects right, including things that don't occur to most people! These workshops will help you discover what to measure to enable you to grow a profitable beauty business. 

 
What this Module covers
 
  • Understand how the finances of your business work
  • Know what to measures and what actions to take
  • Be able to calculate your profitability and the impact of different pricing decisions
  • Feel more confident about managing the risks in your business and what insurance you might need
  • Know what it means to be self employed and what being an employer of others entails
  • Know when and where to go for specialist help and advice
 


Money Part 2, Beauty Business Models - has been created to give you the tools to be able to consolidate and apply what you will learn in Part 1 to enable you to design your own business model that matches the sale and probability of the business you want to create.
There are three fundamental business models in the industry and we're going to examine them and understand them so you will know the pros and cons of each.
We have prepared real life case studies of those who have been successful in the beauty industry for your benefit. In turn this will enable you to tune up your business, get new ideas in order to grow and develop  it and give you the confidence to make informed choices about your business and what's best for it. 


 
What this module covers
 
  • Be able to design a business model that works for you
  • Have the practical information needed to make informed choices
  • Know what challenges to anticipate and how to overcome them
  • Know the practical lessons learnt by others and the mistakes to avoid in your own business
  • Have all the key content required to put together the core of a business plan
Note – Money Part 2 is only available to those who have attended Money Part 1 as it builds on this first module and assumes that you understand all the concepts covered in that module.

These are two linked marketing workshops, Part 1 and Part 2, which will give you all of the knowledge and skills you need to be able to market and promote your business successfully. Encouraging you to create your brand, position yourself in the marketplace and promote your business both on and offline. We have come up with many tried and testes methods to help and enable you to do this. Most are low cost or free.
 
Marketing Part 1, Marketing Essentials
What this Module Covers
 
  • Know how to research the market and understand your customer
  • Be able to position your brand successfully
  • Understand a broad range of offline marketing tactics to choose from. Many of which are low cost or free
  • Learn how to sell your products and services with confidence
     

Marketing Part 2, Marketing your business online
What this Module Covers
 
  • Have everything you need to build an effective online presence for your beauty business
  • Understand the key skills needed to succeed at reaching customers online
  • Confidently select online tactics and activities that suit you and your budget
  • Understand the underlying principles of online marketing so that you are able to make informed choices about your approach
  • Know which social media channels are best for you, understand what to say and how to say it
     
Note – Marketing Part 2 is only available to those who have attended Marketing Part 1 as it builds on this first module and assumes that you understand all the concepts covered in that module and have done the relevant exercises.
