CCS Team Thanks Rome CSD Staff with Giveaway
Yesterday, Thursday March 25th, the Connected Community School team held a Connected Day Giveaway for our Rome Community Schools as a way to thank then for their unparalleled support.
Over 100 teacher and staff showed up to pick up boxes, bags and carloads of items they can use for their classrooms and students such as apples, chips, animal crackers, hand sanitizers, hand wipes, books and so much more! We Love our staff and our staff have supported us so much during this past year, we are so thankful!
Melissa Roys - Executive Director for Rome Alliance for Education, Miranda Majewicz - Operations Manager for Connected Community Schools, and Jessica Hampe - LINK Coordinator for Rome Community Schools, spent the afternoon setting up and distributing items to our Rome CSD staff. As Miranda states "It was truly an amazing afternoon, being able to interact with and give back to our amazing teachers and staff. They have done so much to support their students and to support us so it was really gratifying to be able to give something tangible back and see the excitement on their faces as they loaded up their bags, boxes, and cars."
The average teacher spends $18 or more a week to provide snacks to their students and we are so happy to be able to take that lift off of our teachers. In addition to being here to help our students and our community, we also strive to ensure our teachers and staff feel supported. We are here to help, not just today but everyday. It really does take a community, a CONNECTED Community.
