Unions in Philippines Commit to Defend Power Cooperatives, Drive Public Renewables

Amidst growing violence, a recent two-day gathering of unions in Pasig City, Manila, discussed energy democracy and how to finance renewable power. Report by Wilson M. Fortaleza

Meanwhile, assassinations of union activists has increased in recent weeks. See: NAGKAISA Condemns Killings of Labor and Community Organizers  The NAGKAISA labor coalition is composed of 47 labor federations, workers organizations in public and private sectors and various urban and peasants groups.
