The following letter is to offer our support for a successful adoption of AzEDS in FY17. There will be frequent communications throughout the summer to both you and your vendors to ensure the most optimal transition possible.
Before undertaking the beginning-of-year steps below, please ensure you have no concerns with your FY16 data and have followed all instructions on the end-of-year process email
sent out by our agency on Thursday, June 9, 2016. You will be able to begin submitting FY17 data to AzEDS as early as July 1, 2016.
Since AzEDS will be the system of record for FY17, LEAs will no longer be allowed to submit to SAIS for anything other than 915s. In addition, STC data is no longer a separate submission and is now submitted directly through AzEDS.
Featured below are the necessary steps to begin submitting to AzEDS for FY17:
- If you are concerned that your data in SAIS for FY16 does not reflect your actual ADM by the FY16 SAIS submission deadline of July 29, please contact your School Finance account analyst or call 602-542-5695.
- Contact your vendor for instructions on submitting to version 2.2 of AzEDS’ API. Your student information system (SIS) vendor is in the best position to advise you on how to set up your system for FY17.
- As your vendor directs, configure your SIS to ensure that your submissions are pointing to the correct FY17 AzEDS URL.
- Lastly, LEAs will still be able to complete 915 requests through SAIS for FY14, FY15 and FY16 beginning July 30, 2016. Please contact your School Finance account analyst about opening a 915.
ADE will remain in constant contact with you throughout the process, keeping you aware of any pertinent updates and developments. We understand that it has been a strenuous year for everyone involved in Arizona education and look forward to beginning FY17 on a positive note.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding payment, please contact your School Finance account analyst
