Clearwater Communications

The Communications Committee is made up of 5 members within our community who have come together to make communication better in our town. We have made it our mission to make sure that information is sent out to residents in a timely manner. If you have information that you would like to have shared please email us at All Newsletters will be sent out around the 1st & 3rd Mondays of the month.  Since the Communications Committee is now a part of the Chamber of Commerce you will no longer receive a Chamber Newsletter. Town Hall Meeting Reminder

Come join us in this community style meeting to hear about changes happening in Clearwater. The next meeting will be Monday July 29th at 7:00pm. It will take place at the SCKESC located at 13939 Diagonal Road Clearwater, KS. We will have reports from the Communications Committee, Industrial/Business Park Committee, Downtown/Retail Committee, and possibly a housing update. The presentation topic will be: Love Notes for Clearwater. This event is open to all residents of all ages. We will also have childcare available. Please email if you need childcare.Childcare will be provided by the youth of the Clearwater Methodist Church.

Hunter Safety Class

The weekend of July 13th was this years Hunters Safety Course that was offered by the Clearwater Police Department. The class was completely filled up. All together they had 46 students and 11 instructors. The students all passed with 100%! They also raised about 75lbs of food that they were able to donate to the local food bank. Keep your eyes open for the next class.

New Knitting group

Have you ever wanted to learn to knit? The Clearwater Senior & Community Center is now offering a knitting class/group. This is open to ALL ages. It will be every Friday from 2pm-3pm. This event is free. For more information please call the Center at 620-584-2332.

Water Zumba

Announcing a Party in the Pool! Aqua Zumba is a safe, challenging, water-based workout that is cardio-conditioning, invigorating, and body-toning. It will be held Tuesdays & Thursdays from July 23rd to August 15th. 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Clearwater Aquatic Center. $20 per 8 class Session or $3 drop-in class fee. Tribal Dash postponed

The Tribal Dash that was scheduled to be held on Saturday August 3rd is being postponed due to scheduling difficulty. A new date will be scheduled for the event and it will continue.

Monthly Luncheon

Reminder of the First Baptist Church's monthly Ladies Luncheon. It takes place on the first Friday of every month. The next one will be Friday August 2nd from 11am - 2pm. This event is open to ALL ladies in the community not just church members. If you have any questions please contact Trish at 620-584-2058.

Jam Session

The Jam Sessions have been moved back to the Senior Community Center. Our next one will be Saturday August 3rd from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Come out and enjoy some local artist. If you have a musical talent please feel free to join in. This is a free event open to all ages. Just bring a snack to share. If you have any questions call the Center at 620-584-2332.

Library Activities

Wednesday July 31st at 2:00pm the Clearwater Public Library will have a Balloon show called "Twisted" by Chris Conner. This day is also the last day of the summer reading so be sure to turn in your Summer Reading log to obtain prizes. Also on August 1st from 11am-12pm there will be a Clearwater Pool Swim Party for K-5th who complete their Summer Reading Program Logs.
