Chamber Newsletter is back!

There have been some recent changes happening within the Chamber of Commerce lately. The Chamber has decided to take on an individual to handle some tasks on a part time basis. This means the newsletter will be back. Please send any information you would like included to the Also the part time Chamber person will be working in the Clearwater Executive Center on Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm if you need to talk with someone in person.


It is time for the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce monthly coffee social! This month we will be meeting at the Clearwater Village on Thursday, April 14th, at 9:30 am. Join in the conversation about what is happening with the Chamber. 

USD 264 Roundup 2016

An informational meeting to introduce next year’s kindergartners and their parents to our school is set for Monday, April 4th at 6:30 at Elementary West. There will be pre-enrollment forms that will need to be filled out and turned in that night to start the enrollment process.  Health forms will be given out to take to the doctor and birth certificate forms will be available, if needed, to send to Topeka.  Physicals and birth certificates are required before starting school.

Local Hunters Education Course

Dates & Times: Friday, July 22nd & Saturday, July 23rd
Friday- Registration begins at 6:00 pm and class will be until 9:30 pm.
Saturday - Registration begins at 7:30 am and class will be until 5:00 pm.

Children K - 6th grade are welcome to join us for some fun and creativity!

Big Truck Night

The Clearwater PTO will be hosting a "Big Truck Night" for the family on Tuesday, April 12th at 6:00 pm. This will be located at the Clearwater High School. This will be a free event to attend! They will have all kinds of vehicles for kids to see from emergency vehicles and semis to farming and construction trucks. For more information click here.


The Clearwater Art Walk is a family friendly event in Clearwater, Kansas that promotes the arts. Spend time with family and friends walking around the downtown area, enjoying live music and displays by local artists. Different businesses act as host, serving a light refreshment. A great way to see all that Clearwater has to offer! Second annual. Friday April 8th, 7pm to 10pm. There will be wine tasting and possibly micro brewery tasting as well.

City Wide Clean Up

Friday, April 15th from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm & Saturday, April 16th 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Twice a year, the City of Clearwater oversees a cleanup weekend for the purpose of disposing large and bulky items for city residents.

As part of the city’s residential trash franchise, city residents can drop off any item for free (exceptions include tires, refrigerators, batteries, or hazardous waste).  

There will be city employees checking driver’s licenses to verify that all items brought to the collection site come from a Clearwater city address.  A Clearwater resident must be in the vehicle that is bringing the items to the collection site at the Public Works Building at 400 W. Ross Avenue. Anyone bringing trash or materials from outside of Clearwater will not be allowed to dump their items at the collection site.

Zumba Classes

Zumba at the Clearwater Community Center will start again Monday, March 28th. Classes will be Monday's and Wednesday's from 6-7. The last week in March will be free trial, regular session starting in April, $20 a month or $3 drop in per class. Class is instructed by Jennifer Clark.

New Pharmacy in town

The Clearwater Pharmacy has finalized their new address in Cleawater. 130 E Ross, Suite 111. They hope to be open on May 1st. The office hours will be Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. They encourage you to use their free delivery service from Conway Springs to Clearwater in the mean time. Thank you all for your encouragement and support!

All You Can Eat Biscuits & Gravy

The entire community is invited to the Clearwater Community Center for the monthly All You Can Eat Biscuits & Gravy event. It will be held on Saturday, April 16th, from 7:00 am to 10:00 am. Cost is $4 for adults, and $2 for children 12 and under. Come out and enjoy some good food and help support the Community Center.

Severe Weather Safety Program

Severe weather will soon be upon us. Are you prepared? Sedgwick County Emergency Mgmt presents a program developed by the National Weather Service to help educate citizens about severe weather and ways to stay safe. The following class is FREE of charge for Sedgwick County residents.
  • Tuesday, April 5, 6:30 pm at the Clearwater Fire Station. 319 W Ross.

Annuals for summer gardens & containers

Sedgwick County Master Gardener, Karen Sanders West will be at the Clearwater Community Center on Thursday, April 28th at 1:00 pm. She will be discussing Annuals for Summer gardening and annuals for containers. This is a free presentation and all are welcome to attend.

Car, Truck, & Motorcycle Show

The Clearwater band would like to invite you to their 1st Annual Car Truck and Bike Show. Lots of Classes and Lots of Awards. Proceeds go to help the band travel and expand their performance schedule.
