Clearwater Community Foundation Fully Funds Youth Entrepreneurs class at Clearwater High School

Clearwater Community Foundation recently presented  Youth Entrepreneurs (YE) with $5,451 in support of the local high school class for the 2014-2015 academic year. YE helps to develop future employees and business owners, who can solve problems, take calculated risks and add value in many industries and professions. Charles Engineering funded the gift.
Since funding from these entities began in 2006, more than 100 students have completed the YE course with several continuing their involvement through YE Academy. Jacob Hobbie, 2014 alumnus and Newman University freshman, won third place at the Regional Flyers Business Plan Competition in April 2014, earning $500 of venture capital, some of which he used to purchase software for his computer repair business.
“We are enormously grateful for the steadfast support of the Clearwater Community Foundation as funded by Charles Engineering and their belief in our mission. With their commitment, we will continue to foster the entrepreneurial mindset of area students and work to strengthen this community” said Phoebe Bachura, Chief Development Officer.
