Seven Steps To Using Social Media for Small Business

Are you ready to grow your audience and learn the best ways to leverage social media for small business? This session will cover the basics of maintaining your space in the social media world, it will also let you know what the heck a #hashtag is?

When: Thursday, September 11th, in place of the Coffee Social

Alumni & Friends Dinner

Alumni, former students, faculty and friends of CHS are invited to attend the 2014 Alumni Dinner, Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the Clearwater High School Commons. The cost is $12 per person, payable to CHS Alumni Association. (Please include year of graduation and maiden name on the check.) Proverbs Women's Brunch

Saturday, October 4th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 306 E Ross.
Come and enjoy a lovely morning meant just for you...and your friends! We will enjoy a devotional and some delicious food. The topics we will be covering are "A button or a loan?" and "You did that...with that?!" To top off the morning, we will be doing our plant exchange. Wednesdays Nights at First Baptist Church

Starting 6:00 pm on Wednesday, September 3rd, at the First Baptist Church, 306 E Ross, in Clearwater. 
  • All are welcome
  • Doors open at 5:45 pm
  • Our Wednesday Night Ministries are in session along with USD 264. If school is cancelled or on a scheduled holiday, so are our ministries. If for some reason we need to cancel after school is out we will post it on Facebook, Channel 2, and KAKE News.
  • We must have a completed registration form for those participating in Kids For Christ.

Kids For Christ - An exciting time of learning about Jesus and the bible for kids K-5th grade starts at 6:30 pm.

Yooooooooth - Middle and High School meet in the basement at 6:45 pm for a time of Praise and Worship, then break into small groups for in depth study and discussion.

Financial Peace Class - Pastor Kelley will be leading the Dave Ramsey "Financial Peace" class at 6:45 pm.

Mens Study Group -  Meeting at 6:45 pm.

Ladies Group - Ladies will be starting the Beth Moore video series exploring 1st & 2nd Thessalonians at 6:30 pm.

Farmers Market!

Clearwater Chamber of Commerce Farmer's Market will be every Saturday through the growing season, unless there is a scheduled event at the park. Join us for some home made pies, jellies, custom jewelry, the sweetest corn on earth, farm fresh eggs, squash, zucchini, and a host of other goodies. Get there early, the good stuff goes fast! 8:00 a.m. until noon. The Chamber supports local business and events, so be there or be square......... Remember the City Park parking lot!

2014 Events

We welcome field trips, groups, and birthday parties. Open to the public on the weekends of October. There is a $6.50 flat fee for a pumpkin of your choice out in the patch and absolutely no other charges! We have tons for the kids to do! Some of the exciting adventures we have include the 
  • Main event… The Pig Races! Starring our “Frozen” finalist Olaf 
  • Our milk-tacular milking demonstration
  • Go for a joy ride on a hay rack trailer
  • Pick out the nicest pumpkin on the vine in our glorious patch!
  • Our mighty big play ground, with fun adventures for kids of all ages to go through
  • Don’t forget to stop by the petting zoo area! Say hello to all of your favorite farms animals.

Do you love college football? You are invited to join us every Sunday at The River in September for a series that includes football analogies about faith called “The Game Plan”. The series answers the question, “Do you have a plan for your life?” Each Sunday you attend, your name will be put into a drawing for 2 KU vs. KState Football tickets. On Sunday, September 28 we will be drawing for the football tickets, and hosting a FREE Tailgate Party after the service, complete with every known tailgate food you can think of. And, don’t miss our own weekly version of RSPN (River Sports Network) 10 minutes before each service. Invite your friends. Bring your family. And feel free to wear your favorite football gear every Sunday.

Ladies Monthly Lunch

A reminder that the First Baptist Church's monthly Ladies Luncheon takes place on the first Friday of every month. The next one will be Friday, September 5, from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. This event is open to ALL ladies in the community, not just church members. Message from the City

As most are all aware, the intersection at 71st and 135th is now back open. The north part of 135th will continue to stay closed until October or November of 2014. After this, all of 135th will be open from Clearwater to K42 for the winter months. Starting in February or March, 135th will then be closed from 71st to 95th St South to begin the next phase.
