It is time for the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce monthly coffee social! This month we will be meeting at the Clearwater Village on Thursday, May 12th, at 9:30 am. Join in the conversation about what is happening with the Chamber. 

Local Hunters Education Course

Dates & Times: Friday, July 22nd & Saturday, July 23rd
Friday- Registration begins at 6:00 pm and class will be until 9:30 pm.
Saturday - Registration begins at 7:30 am and class will be until 5:00 pm.
Place: Clearwater Community Center, 921 E Janet Ave.

Note: All students must be 11 years old as of July 22nd, 2016. All sessions must be attended to receive certification.

May Activities

Foods for fines month:
Fines on overdue library items may be paid with nonperishable or unexpired food items. A one dollar credit will be applied to your overdue fines for each item donated. The food will be donated to a local food pantry.  
Summer reading registration starts:
Thursday, May 12th.  All children must be entering K-6th grade, teens must be entering 7-12th grade, and all adults are welcome!

Color Club
Tuesday, May 3rd @ 10:30 am
Come join us for some coloring fun! Supplies will be provided or you may bring your own if preferred.
Complimentary coffee and tea available!
Library Board Meeting
Wednesday, May 18th @ 5:30 pm.
This is the monthly meeting of the Library Board of Trustees.  Meeting is open to the public.
Fourth Tuesday Book Club            
Tuesday, May 24th @ 9:30 am, Location: Tee Time
The discussion will be on the book, “Falling Angels” by Tracy Chevalier.
For The Children:
Preschool Storytime
Wednesday, May 11th @ 10:30 am. Join us for stories, songs, rhymes, finger plays, and crafts.
Designed for ages 2-5; however, all ages are welcome!
Lego Club
2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the Month.  May 11th and 25th @ 3:30 pm.  Children K - 6th grade are welcome to join us for some fun and creativity!
Note: There are only 12 available spots for each club so call or stop in to sign up as soon as possible. First come first serve! Signup sheets will be available one week prior to the event.

Community Paint Night

Paint The Towne is located in Wichita and is always a fun time with friends. They have agreed to come out to Clearwater for a "Community Paint Night." This will be a great night to paint a great picture with friends while still having an instructor to help you make a masterpiece. This is open to all ages and space is limited. Spring Rodeo

Chisholm Trail Saddle Club presents the Spring Rodeo! Friday and Saturday May 6th & 7th. Rodeo starts at 8:00 pm each night and includes Bull Riding, Bare Back, Saddle Bronc, and Ranch Bronc.  Admission: Adults $5, 13 and under, Free with adult admission!  Inquire about entries through the Chisholm Trail Saddle Club. Location: 9631 S. 167th St. West, Clearwater, KS.  Friday Night special is the Calf Scramble for ages 6-10.  Saturday Night special is the Stick Horse Race for ages 5 and under.  

Swimming Pool Info

Clearwater City Pool opens Saturday, May 28th.
Daily fee is $3.25 and Twilight Swim is only $1.00 this year.
Family Memberships and Punch passes are available for the season.
Swimming lesson sign-ups starts Monday, May 2nd at City Hall. Lessons are $30.00 and the Clearwater Recreation has coupons for $10 off. For more information regarding classes and hours click here.

Bike with the Mayor

Celebrate National Bike Month in May by joining Mayor Ussery for a family bicycle ride in Clearwater.

The route will be approximately 3 miles long and winds throughout the Clearwater community. Snacks will be provided to all participants who finish the ride. The Clearwater Police Department will also be on site to discuss bicycle safety and conduct bike inspections.

Zumba Classes

Zumba at the Clearwater Community Center is happening again! Classes will be Monday's and Wednesday's from 6-7pm. $20 a month or $3 drop in per class. Class is instructed by Jennifer Clark.

All You Can Eat Biscuits & Gravy

The entire community is invited to the Clearwater Community Center for the monthly All You Can Eat Biscuits & Gravy event. It will be held on Saturday, May 21st, from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. Cost is $4 for adults, and $2 for children 12 and under. Come out and enjoy some good food and help support the Community Center.

Clearwater USD 264 offers the EduKit program as a convenient option for busy families to order school supply kits for the 2016/2017 year. EduKits are custom made for our school and contain what students need to start the year off right.

Order by June 1 for the BEST pricing and FREE shipping

Your child’s EduKit will be in the classroom on the first day of school.

Extended online ordering is available through EduKit’s Last Chance program from June 2- July 15. Last Chance orders are subject to an additional fee and will be delivered to your home shortly before school begins. For more information click here.

2nd Annual Art Walk a success

 The 2nd Annual Art Walk took place in downtown Clearwater on April 8th. It was a great evening with amazing weather. Many talented artists from musicians, quilters, painters, photographers and so much more. Thank you to all who participated. You can read a neat blog about the event by clicking here. Clearwater Pharmacy Opens

The staff and owners are excited to open your Clearwater Pharmacy Monday, May 2nd at 9am! Stop in and talk to them about transferring your prescriptions. Hours will be 9am to 6pm Monday through Friday and they also offer free delivery!! In addition to prescription services, they also have a variety of over the counter items and will be able to special order products for next day arrival.
