Deadline is Wednesday, December 4th, at close of business. stuffed Christmas Stocking will be given to eight winners — one from each age group: 1-4 yrs., K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th Grades!!! Winners will be announced at “Christmas Comes to Clearwater” event at 5:15 p.m. at City Christmas Tree. Need not be present to win; visit all the businesses to see the pictures; pick them up the week of Christmas if you want to keep them!

Gift wrapping Fundraiser
"Girls Take A Stand" is a faith-based abstinence support ministry for teenage girls to let them know that Jesus loves them, and that He thinks they are beautiful and should be honored and respected.This group of young ladies will also be doing a gift wrapping fundraiser. It will be on Saturday, December 14th, at the First Baptist Church in Clearwater. They will be wrapping your Christmas presents for you. You can drop them off and come back, or stay and have coffee. This will begin at 9 am and last until 6 pm. For more information call the church at 584-2058.
CUMC Soup Supper & Caroling party
The Clearwater United Methodist Youth group is doing a soup supper as a fundraiser to support youth activities. It will be Sunday December 15th from 6 pm to 8 pm. Come and join us for a bowl of soup and stay for Christmas caroling to shut ins around town. For more information contact the CUMC at 584-2456
CUMC 5th quarter
For all Middle School youth- Lots of Fun-music, food, and friends! Friday December 13th from 8:30 pm to 11 pm. Come and check out the music videos that will be played on the giant screen while you play basketball, volleyball, video games, karaoke, air hockey, ping pong, or just hang out with friends and eat snacks and drink pop! The River will be hosting their annual “River Christmas” Variety Show and everyone is invited. Preschool and nursery will be provided at each service.
Each service will be a free, but because of seating, a ticketed event. Tickets are available to pick-up before and after all weekly Sunday services.

As 2013 comes to a close, the Clearwater Public Library extends a thank you to all customers for their continued patronage and support. Programs are in the process of being planned for the first part of the year. Your ideas are welcome and encouraged, so please stop by.Clearwater Public Library has a web presence through their website as well as a Facebook page. Keep up-to-date with new items and activities. Take a look at the catalog from the website to see new items in the rotating carousels and remember you can check out books through the Sunflower eLibrary with your library card and pin. The library staff is ready and eager to assist, so do not hesitate to come in and ask for help – finding a book, computer assistance, etc.

Chicken Noodle & Chili Feed
The CHS Booster Club will have a chicken noodle and chili feed on Friday, December 13th from 4:00 – till we run out. This event will be held at the High School Commons area.
Enjoy all the chicken noodles and chili you can eat, plus one yummy homemade cinnamon roll for just $5.00.
All proceeds help support the students at CHS in Clearwater.
Annual Membership Luncheon
The Clearwater Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its Annual Membership Luncheon on Thursday, December 12th, 2013, at the Clearwater Community/Senior Center at 12:00 pm. The cost of the luncheon is $9.00 per person. This will be a chance for you to hear about the activities the Chamber has been involved with this year along with the opportunity to discuss the vision of the Clearwater Chamber for the coming year. Since this is the Membership Luncheon, membership information for the 2014 year will be available, along with ballots to select the Board of Directors for the 2014 Chamber Board. Please plan on attending this important Chamber meeting. You may call the Clearwater Chamber number, 620-584-3366 and leave a message on the number of meals you will be reserving. Reservations need to be made no later than December 7th. Thank you so much for your support of the Clearwater Chamber over the past year and look for a new and exciting ventures in the future.
