Bounce Back to School

Your child’s academic development is vital to his/her future successes. Identifying the areas that need improvement, and then providing that student with additional learning experiences, is one of many opportunities that our district directs time and resources toward.

“Bounce Back to School” will give K-6 students, who were recommended by their teacher, the opportunity to come to school up to an hour and a half each day to brush up on reading and math skills that may have gotten a little “rusty” over the long summer break.

From the Mayor - Volunteers!

Without volunteers very little can be accomplished! We are blessed with a community filled with those who step up and help with a wide range of volunteer activities; coaches for our sports program, helping in our schools and churches, serving on boards or committees, rebuilding our parks and sports complex, or just helping a neighbor...all would not happen without such great people wanting to be involved!

If you are not currently involved, look around find your passion and get involved. If you don't know what is available, there are many places to look, your church, school, etc. You can also call City Hall and they might be able to point you to a group or activity you would enjoy. If you see something that needs done and would like to address it - reach out and let's find a way to get it done.

There are a few opportunities available you might find interesting. We are looking for members to serve with our Planning Commission (for this you can live in town but really need someone who lives out of the city but within the school district area). We have a need for someone to serve with our Recreation & Parks Commission and someone to serve with the Clearwater Community Foundation. If you are interested please email, call 620-584-2311, or call me at 316-239-4373.

Thank you for what you have done and for your continued involvement in Clearwater!

Chamber needs help

Every year in the Spring, the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce hosts at least a monthly Farmers Market in town. This allows local farmers and retailers to set up at the City Park and sell their goods. The Chamber would love to keep this going, but we need someone to volunteer to run it. There really isn't too much work involved, just getting in touch with vendors to get them there. The Chamber will help in any way needed. If interested please email, or call 620-584-3366.

It is time for the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce monthly coffee social! This month we will be meeting at the Clearwater Village on Thursday, May 14th, at 9:30 am. Join in the conversation about what is happening with the Chamber.

Free Hearing Evaluation

EarCare offers hearing evaluations completely FREE of charge, and with no obligation.

Your consultant will answer all your questions so you can make an informed decision about your hearing health care needs.
