Clearwater Communications

The Communications Committee is made up of 5 members of the community who have come together to make communication better in our town. We have made it our mission to make sure that information is sent out to residents in a timely manner. If you have information that you would like to have shared please email us at news.clearwater@gmail.com. All Newsletters will be sent out around the 1st & 3rd Mondays of the month. Please have all information in as soon as possible to avoid missing the deadline.

Lady Indians Volleyball Camp

Clearwater Lady Indian High School Volleyball camp will take place from July 8th to July 12th. Camp will take place at the Clearwater HS gym. Cost is $30 and includes a camp t-shirt.
Clearwater Lady Indian Youth Volleyball camp (grades 4th-6th) will take place from July 15th to July 18th. Camp will take place at the Clearwater HS gym. Cost is $25 and includes a camp t-shirt.

The winner of the Golden Plunger is......

CLEARWATER! Over the last month Clearwater has been in competition with Cheney to see which town could buy the most toilet paper locally. Which ever town bought the most rolls of toilet paper locally would get to have the "Golden Plunger!" Cheney sold 4,143 rolls and Clearwater sold 6,588 rolls!!!! Making Clearwater the WINNER! Awesome job everyone. We will hold on to the Golden Plunger! Don't forget to buy local as much as possible.

Clearwater Downtown Outdoor Marketplace

Its almost that time again for the Marketplace downtown. Come out and browse through crafts and foods and other things that local residents are selling. If you are interested in having a booth you may contact Shana at Rockin Ruckus at 620-584-2777.

Chamber Coffee Social

Just a quick reminder the Chamber Coffee Social will be Thursday July 18th at 9:30 am at the Clearwater Retirement Community. 440 N 4th St.

Storytime & Crafts
K-5th must be registered for Summer Reading program to participate in crafts.
Thursday July 11th @ 10:30 am: Fire Chief Marvin Schauf and a fire truck.
Thursday July 18th @ 10:30 am: also will have a movie @ 2pm.
Thursday July 25th @ 10:30 am: also will have games @ 2pm.

Hunter's Education Class

Brought to you by the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, & Tourism. This is a free Hunters Safety Class. It will be Friday July 12th from 6:00 pm-9:30pm and Saturday July 13th from 7:30 am-6:00 pm. This will take place at the Clearwater Senior Community Center at 921 Janet Ave. This event is for anyone ages 11 and up. Please call Jo at the Clearwater Police Department to make your reservation before time runs out. 620-584-2317.

Clearwater HS Band Fundraiser

The Clearwater High School Band will be having a free car wash on Saturday July 13th from 10am - 2pm. This will be held at the Clearwater Intermediate Center. Visit www.usd264.org for more details. 

All You Can Eat Biscuits & Gravy

Its almost that time of the month for some Biscuits & Gravy! Saturday July 20th from 7am-10am the Senior Community Center will be serving all you can eat Biscuits & Gravy. The cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children. This event is open to all ages and the money goes to help support activities at the Center. Stop by on your way to the Clearwater Downtown Marketplace!

Foreign Exchange Students

Bring the world into your home by hosting a foreign exchange student through the AFS program. Call Crystal Walters at 620-584-4582 and provide a loving family for a student from abroad.
