Psychosocial Readiness Evaluation and Preparation for Hepatitis C Treatment (PREP-C) is a free interactive online tool developed by psychologists & social workers that guides service providers thorough assessment of a patient’s psychosocial readiness to begin Hep C treatment, and to make a treatment plan to improve treatment readiness.

Alcohol is hard on the liver. Injection drug use is the #1 risk factor for Hep C.... Intervention is Prevention!

Screening, Brief Intervention & Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) is an evidence based intervention for people at risk due to substance or alcohol use. SBIRT training includes validated screening tools, stages of change, motivational interviewing and skills to help individuals change behavior. SBIRT is reimbursable under Medicaid, Medicare & Private Insurance. Training & Certification is available for free through the NYC Department of Health. See upcoming training.
