Latest Update from Bishop Bob.
Hunting for Treasure:
Deepening our time with God
This Week's Scripture Verse
Whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, so that they may be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. “When you are praying, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. “Pray then in this way: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us to the time of trial, but rescue us from the evil one. For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

A Disciple’s Path
A Disciples Path is an engaging approach to discipleship from a distinctly Wesleyan (John Wesley is the father of the United Methodist Church) perspective. This worship and preaching series will challenge you to take the next step in discipleship and become a more dynamic, engaged follower of Jesus.
The sermon series combines a Wesleyan understanding of our growth in God’s love and grace with the time-tested practices of spiritual disciplines expressed in the membership vows to uphold the church with our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. You will be challenged to develop spiritual practices, discover your unique gifts, and become engaged in ministry that brings transformation in your own life, the lives of others, and the world.
To further help you on this journey of discipleship I encourage you to join one of two ZOOM classes available that follow this series.
In the class you will reflect and discuss the topics found in the Daily Workbook which you can order
(a link to purchase the book and more information can be found HERE).
A Companion Reader offers a brief chapter of additional reading material related to the sermon series.
Weekly topics include:
