Top 10 Tips for Adopting a Dog from a Rescue

by Kristin Morrissey of Second Chance Ranch Rescue

Wednesday, July 14th at 7:00pm

This will be an in-person event at the Whipple Free Library.

This will be planned to be held outdoors on the library grounds with a plan to move to the Russell Community room in the case of inclement weather.  The Russell Community Room has a max of 35 people at this time.

If outside, we ask that you maintain an appropriate social distance if not wearing a mask.  If moved inside, masks will be required.

With over a decade of rescue experience and hundreds of rescue success stories with harder to adopt out dogs, Kristin Morrissey will give a 1 hour talk about the top 10 things you can do to ensure your adoption is successful.

Come borrow seeds from
our Seed Library before planting season is over!

The idea is that you can "borrow" seeds by taking from the library and then return seeds harvested from what you grow.

Special thank you to Live Bee or Die Farm and Grasshoppers for seed donations to get us started!

For more information on what we are looking for, how to donate, and the types of seeds we are looking for, please refer to these links:

 Mrs. Ballou's Summer Challenge!

“Last year, our summer reading numbers were much lower than usual, and we would like to see more of you this summer. If over 250 kids and/or teens sign up for Summer Adventures, I will put some fun color in my hair. You may even get the chance to vote on the color!”

Thanks to a Summer Learning Grant, we were able to purchase items needed for safe outdoor programming! Funding for the NH State Library Summer Learning Grant is provided by the Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation and funds administered by the NH State Library and provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
