Happy New Year, Limers!

We hope this note finds you well and happy this Winter. We have all been enjoying our holidays! Here is a sneak peek at what everyone has been up to...

Ian's first solo album, "Memory Palace" was just released! The mindblowing Wednesday solo showcase he treated us to this past summer was a taste! Ian's album is available on iTunes!

KEVIN and CATHERINE spent their holidays with NATHALIE and the great Shaw family in France! Local food, wine, cognac and Pineau des Charentes brought many smiles! Kevin even apprenticed with a  professional baker at a boulangerie !
LINDSEY spent December at Tuff Sound Recording in Pittsburgh recording for her next solo album of commissions by PNME founder David Stock, PNME board member Linda Kernohan, and PNME favorites Roger ZahabRandy Woolf, and Tony Zilincik
For the 25th anniversary of “A Musical Christmas Carol” produced by Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera,  ANDY incorporated 20 brand new intelligent LED fixtures.  Fifteen were “wash” type units to add a variety of color and emotion, and five were “spot” type units to accent specific people and moments.  He also remounted the critically acclaimed “The Play” with Rocky Bleier.
LINDSAY and Chris spent the holidays traveling, making beautiful music and spending much-needed time with family. Rowan was a great sport, and loved playing in the snow for the first time!
Lifelong Pens fan CHRIS started his kids off to their own illustrious hockey careers in that hockey hotbed, New Mexico. He also scored the 1921 silent film Be My Wife starring Max Linder. The new music ensemble Relâche premieres the piece, live with film, on January 22 in Philly.
ERIC had an amazing trip to Brazil (São Paulo and Rio) to reconnect with a good friend he hadn't seen in 15 years!!  It was unforgettable and he's already making plans to go back, was not nearly long enough. Coincidentally, composer Gabriella Smith also was in Rio for one of the days, so they met up on Sugarloaf Mountain to talk about the piece Eric commissioned for his PNME solo show this summer.
NORBERT and Courtenay introduced their daughter, Georgia Jean, to New York City for the first time around New Year's. Highlights include the Metropolitan Museum, ice skating in Rockefeller Center, and seeing her first opera,  Magic Flute at the Met!
JEFF recently made his compositional debut at Carnegie Hall!  His "Seize the Sun: Fantasy on Icarus", played by the Carpe Diem String Quartet, was received with a raucous ovation!!

Jeff is pictured here with Peter Thoresen, who hilariously portrayed Julia Child from Hoiby's "Bon Appétit" for us a few seasons back.
Season Info:
WEEK 1: July 7, 8
WEEK 2: July 14, 15
WEEK 3: July 21, 22

This summer we celebrate the awesomeness of ERIC JACOBS in a Wednesday solo clarinet feature! Guest artist OSCAR MICAELSSON will also treat us to a Wednesday ALL IMPROVISATORY piano fest!

Lots to look forward to this summer! Kevin is hard at work programming an AWESOME season for us all!! Stay tuned for more!
