DECEMBER 2020
Drop that tinsel and grab an eggnog. You deserve it!
Dear darling readers,

Happy December everyone, and 2020. . . I'm over you. I won't be sending my January newsletter until after the proverbial cork pops, so I'm getting in my kisses with you here. Muah!

It's been an interesting month. NaNoWriMo—the National Novel Writing Month self-competition where writers can beat themselves up if they don't finish a 50,000 word goal, is over.

It didn't help that I stabbed my finger with a sharp kabob stick trying to yank off a piece of chicken. Swollen and painful though it was, I limped onward. Further injuries during the month which impeded my resolution included a colonoscopy. Prep and Propofal—it will literally take a girl to her knees. Then there was the mild concussion I sustained as I bounced my head too quickly out of the fridge after grabbing salsa hidden in the back. I was under pressure to retrieve the bottle quickly. The Crown, Season 4 was playing and not on pause! I hit the floor and suffered through the large egg and bruise on my beancap. Is that a word or am I still concussed? Then came heartbreak hill as the finish line neared, and typing with only nine fingers, I held my appendage in the air, my ass, too, terribly sore from sitting, when the bell struck.

My November 27th word count on my latest book, Cut and Run landed at 50,501. I did it.

So a hearty congratulations to all you NaNoWrimer's out there! Regardless if you reached the goal, it was a job well done.
