How IGT leverages innovation to lead the global gaming industry
IGT is the leader in Casino and lottery products with over 70% of global market share. Continuous R&D and Innovation are essential to retain our leadership position. Dave will describe some of the R&D and Innovation processes used by his team and share some of the lessons learned over his 30+ years of experience.
IGT (formerly GTECH, formerly Spielo) was founded in 1990 in Moncton, designing and manufacturing Video Lottery Terminals (VLT’s) for government regulated lottery markets. Spielo was acquired by GTECH, the global leader in on line Lottery, in 2004. Lottomatica, the largest lottery operator in Italy, acquired GTECH in 2006 and rebranded as GTECH. GTECH then acquired IGT, the global leader in Casino products, in 2014 and the company rebranded as IGT.
IGT’s global sales are over $5B US and operates in over 100 countries with over 12,000 employees and spends $340 M US annually on R&D.
IGT’s Moncton office has over 350 employees and is responsible for creating VLT games and central control systems for the global government regulated gaming market.
