Despite strong international support, Singapore's government has stated that no foreign entities can sponsor LGBTIQ events, like Pink Dot, celebrated last weekend.

The Latin American LGBTIQ community mourned the murder of prominent Honduras activist Rene Martínez, who attended USAID & Victory Fund-sponsored training there last year. He led a San Pedro-based LGBTIQ group and and another in Chamelecón.


US Embassies and Consulates are commemorating Pride Month around the world with celebrations as well as rainbow flags flown alongside the stars & stripes.

This weekend is also Pride in LA - this year attempts to rebrand the event as a music festival as well as charge higher prices caused controversy.

Good news for Puerto Ricans - where Pride will also be celebrated this weekend in San Juan - as bookings on the Island are reportedly high, despite hype about the Zika virus.
